The annual North Lewis Carnival with which the Clan Macquarrie Committee is heavily involved was held on Sat 10th July. Once again, the event was very well attended and the profits realised will deliver a very good level of funds to 3 local worthy causes - Airidhantuim Youth Club, Croileagan (Playgroup) Ness and our own organisation.

The next major event in the calendar is the annual Sponsored Walk on Sat 18th September 2004. This year, the walk will start at Brue and follow a coastal route to the Garenin blackhouses in Carloway. It is planned to have a BBQ and some refreshments at the finish line in Carloway. All in the community are welcome to participate in the walk. It will be possible to join the walk at various locations along the route (eg Bragar, Shawbost, Dalbeg, Dalmore) so that all ages and fitness levels can enjoy the day. Feel free to contact any member of the committee for further information (and a sponsor form!).
